After six years of investigating MOVE, I’ve learned a lot about how cults work — how they form, why people join, how they implode, and what they reveal about us as human beings. That work became a kind of self-designed PhD in MOVE, a Graduate degree in cults, and now I’m bringing everything I’ve learned (and keep learning) into one place:
What CULTstack is
CULTstack is my new home for all things cults. Think of it as a virtual coffee shop + bookstore where you can read, watch, listen, learn, and join the conversation. Some of you might stop by every day, others might drop in once in a while — either way, CULTstack is here when you want it.
This is what it looks like in my mind:
A multi-media virtual destination — articles, audio, video, and visuals — built for curiosity and connection. I’ll be recording audio versions of all my archived posts, so you can listen instead of read if that’s your style.
Going forward, every piece will come with options: written essays with images and documents, audio to listen on the go, and occasional live conversations.
I’ll also be coming out from behind my laptop and in front of the camera — for interviews, lives, and Q&As. (you will see the face behind the podcast voice).
This is my soft opening - still a few boxes to unpack, but I’m kicking into gear with plans for lots of content - text, audio, video, lives that will feature:

Interviews with experts
Short essays
Deep-dive investigative pieces
Reviews of “cult” projects (books, films, podcasts)
Cult Fact of the Day — quick, surprising nuggets of history and context

And while I’m deadly serious about writing, reporting, and producing, I also have a sense of humor — and I’ll bring it where it’s appropriate. Parody can be a powerful tool (see: South Park), and sometimes laughter cuts through where facts alone can’t.

My reporting on MOVE will always remain free. It’s too important to restrict, and it belongs in the public record because the “group” is still actively indoctrinating the public, with a disturbing focus on underage high school students. My 45-episode investigative podcast Murder At Ryans Run will also live here, so new listeners can find it.
