I don’t even watch Mike’s water pouring out videos anymore because I’m always disappointed. While I respect the gesture and memorialization, he never gives any details on the person. Not that I’d expect anything like the real nitty gritty you just delivered, but c’mon even a sliver of history would be nice. Anyway this is a nice chunky drop Beth! Delbert’s “this was all a lie” quote is jaw-dropping, and sad.
I’m going to nitpick one thing- Delbert had three daughters. Only two in were born into MOVE though.
That’s right! I thought there were 3 as well - the other one was at the press conference (Yvonne?) for Penn’s mishandling of the bones.
And “this was all a lie” is sad and jaw dropping - I wonder if Chuck said something similar. Didn’t Mike say that his mom and dad were caring for him because he was also sick and died.
Yes, Delbert has 3 daughters but only two raised in MOVE so left her out of this dispatch from my research cave but here is a bonus post- publish nugget : Delbert’s first daughter Yvonne was raised in Chicago with her Mom who had the legit position in (Chicago) Black Panthers chapter and so never experienced MOVE until she was older at rare prison visits BUT she know shares a revised history to make her look connected to her dead half-sister Delisha.
Oyewolffe (Birdie) was same age as Delisha and they were both “raised” under the F’d Up teachings of Leaphart. Birdie said they were not taught to read, write or tell time and were not allowed outside for a full year prior to 5/13/85 confrontation. So Yvonne is spinning a nice yarn to serve her purposes but it does not hold up to a fact check or common sense if you know even one iota about Move.

Waiting for a tree to sprout in that spot. LLJA
Did I share this video before - it’s when Mike was promoting the gala on WDAS FM-
Why is Mike blinking so much?

I did see that but did not notice the excessive blinking. 😳

And Yvonne said supposedly there were letters and notes from Delisha supposedly saying that delisha wanted to be a Doctor or lawyer …
